Too Many Escapes

blankets of dimentia
bottles with my picture
always take the long way home
mixed-up the projector
fingerprints on letters
can't read where i'm supposed to go
heard a rumor somewhere
of angels in a stairwell
singing of the lonely cold
some people would give it away
and really listen to words that you say
breath of blind endeavor
trudging in the weather
time is just exploding holes
a mannequin of patience
running from the window
seen too many regrets go
turn my nights in motion
early violent noises
electric mother angry today
i couldn't sleep it away
dream sequence burns as it plays
the woods are keeping quiet
my gallon gun is loaded
safety strap got tangled good
my arms are getting longer
i'm feeling kind of caveman
a couple notches down the chart
i finally found an entrance
buried in the thick brush
it says it's for "employees only"
i know it's meant to be hid
think i heard a dishwasher hiss
